Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa

Located in downtown Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the Tampa Museum of Art was founded in 1920 with the goal to provide space for ancient, modern, and contemporary art. With the year-round creative classes for participants of all ages, the museum strives to educate and inspire visitors to learn about art, acquire new skills, or participate in the art discourse.

• Size: The Tampa Museum of Art is a 66,000-square-foot building designed by Stanley Saitowitz, that houses seven interior galleries, one exterior gallery, and educational spaces.
• Eye Catcher: Guests arriving at the south entrance are greeted by 14,000-square-foot LED-light installation by Leo Villareal titled Sky (Tampa), while a 23-foot-tall cast-iron sculpture, Laura with Bun by Jaume Plensa, is situated in front of the north facade, making the museum an iconic landmark in the downtown.
