Jackie Graves leads Rhythmic Expressions Dance Studio's staff of seven dancers, each of their bodies and minds containing the secrets to different forms of dance ranging from ballet to hip-hop. She encourages creativity not just in dance steps but also with her studio itself. Colorful murals depicting an abstract seascape and sunset splash up the walls around the hardwood-floored space, causing more than one imaginatively engaged dancer to suddenly believe they are a starfish.
