Edelman Counseling is a group of private practice therapists who provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Services offered include group, individual, family and couples counseling, as well as mediation.

At Edelman Counseling, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of individuals from all backgrounds. Our goal is to help individuals strengthen relationships, eliminate distress, and live meaningful lives.

Many of our therapists offer a sliding scale to promote accessibility to services and foster an inclusive environment. We strive to explore and understand the intersections of diversity and mental health to provide a multifaceted approach to therapy.

Support Groups

New Parent Support Group

Wednesday’s 6:00pm-7:00pm hybrid via zoom/in-person at our Westlake Office

Are you a new parent? Does self-care seem impossible? Are you struggling to manage stress? This support group helps new parents learn how to navigate the challenges and beauty that comes with being a first-time parent. Some of the topics of discussion include self-care as a new parent, stress reduction, child development, maintaining connection with your partner, etc.

Parents with Estranged Adult Kids Support Group

Tuesday’s 6:00pm-7:00pm hybrid via zoom/in-person at our Westlake Office

Starting 3/7/23

Don’t go through the struggles of parental estrangement alone. This support group is a safe space to share your feelings and unique experiences around estrangement with your adult children. We will discuss various topics including adjusting to estrangement, managing worry/rumination, reconciliation, understanding shame, etc.

Couple’s and Addiction Recovery Support Group

Thursday’s 6:00pm-7:00pm hybrid via zoom/in-person at our Westlake Office

Starting 3/9/23

Are you or your partner recovering from addiction or need additional support in your recovery? This support group is a safe space that allows couples to process stages of their recovery and connect with others who are working towards the same goal. Some of the topics that will be covered include, overcoming denial, repairing the relationship, rebuilding trust and intimacy, understanding codependency and boundaries, etc.
