Aqua Surf School, Redondo Beach

Started in 1997, the Aqua Surf School exists to spread the joy of surfing to beginners and experts alike. Each staff member is CPR/first-aid/lifeguard-certified, and they create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for students to learn the ropes of surfing. During each session. instructors teach students correct technique, how to understand and interpret environmental conditions, as well as encouraging ecological conservation so that surfers can enjoy the waves for generations to come. While fun and thorough training is the cornerstone of Aqua Surf School's business, another crucial aspect to their DNA is their continued partnerships with charities, offering surf lessons to members of the Braille Institute, P.S. I Love You Foundation, and Veterans Affairs as well as discounted or free surf scholarships to low-income families.
