Situated between the towering trees of the backwoods, the lapping waves of the Pacific Ocean, and the historic Mendocino village, Mendocino Campground is perfectly placed for a weekend spent outdoors. Campers can set up their tents or park their RVs in the shady lots of the campground, and then make their way to any of the nearby attractions. At the end of a 10-minute hike lies both the Big River and the Pacific Ocean where visitors can try their luck at fishing, take a dive into the water, and ride bikes along the coastline. For those looking for views of the forest from a different vantage point, they can ride through the Redwoods on the restored railroad cars of the Skunk Train. When guests get back to camp, they might spend the night telling ghost stories around the campfire or sate video-game withdrawl by jumping over grassy hills.
