RCF CrossFit owners Nate Nguyen and Brian Pena understand the struggles of losing weight. But those highs, lows, and plateaus all changed when they started getting into CrossFit. Together, the two have lost more than 150 pounds, and work up the energy to share their success at RCF CrossFit. They toss out the rows of weight machines and treadmills of conventional gyms for gear that lets them focus on functional fitness—kettlebells, barbells, pullup bars, and ropes. That means their ever-changing workouts stand a great chance of conditioning the body for everyday activities, such as lifting heavy grocery bags, climbing stairs, or carrying an overly clingy teenage child.
