Skate West, West Des Moines

Since 1972, rollers skaters have cruised around Skate West's shiny, wooden rink, their pace set by the music of a live DJ. That is, when they aren't playing skate limbo, doing the Hokey Pokey, or participating in the fast skate or couples skate. Despite the establishment's name, however, it's not just about skating. Skate West also boasts a play zone with a bounce house and tunnel maze on the premises, and an arcade where guests can win tickets for prizes or their ever-growing ticket collection.
