The Pizzeria Factory, Winnetka

This family-owned pizzeria was newly opened in 2013, and it's quickly made a name as a laid-back place where folks can come watch sports, sip beer, and share a homemade pizza. As the name suggests, pizza is big here: diners can customize their pizza or order a specialty pie piled with such inventive toppings as habanero sausage, calamari, and fresh basil. The Pizzeria Favorite, for instance, comes topped with pesto, feta cheese, and avocado. Calzones, subs, and pastas round out the menu. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating if you want to dine al fresco or compare the size of your pizza with the size of the sun.
