Shipping Options at American Eagle
American Eagle offers several shipping options when you order online.
- Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days
- 2nd Day Shipping: 2 business days
Orders must be placed before 1 PM ET Monday–Friday to arrive within two business days.
- Overnight Shipping: 1 business day
Orders must be placed before 1 PM ET Monday–Thursday to arrive the next business day.
- Same-Day Delivery: Same Day
Same-day delivery is only currently available to locations within a 10-mile radius of participating stores. Orders placed before the local cutoff time will be delivered that day. Orders placed after that time will be delivered the next business day.
- ShopRunner Delivery: American Eagle provides free 2-day shipping to ShopRunner members on purchases of $50 or more. ShopRunner also offers free same-day delivery for ShopRunner members and $10 for non-members).

American Eagle Returns, Refunds, and Exchange Policies
If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, American Eagle offers full refunds on returns. You must have proof of your purchase, including a receipt, invoice, order confirmation page, order details page, or an order email. There is no time limit on when you can return items for a full refund, and you can even return items after the tags have been removed. *All swim and bikini bottoms returned without the hygienic liner intact will not be accepted.
How to Complete an In-Store Return
- Find the closest store to you with the store locator.
- Bring your items to any AE, Aerie, or Tailgate store.
- Bring proof of purchase and the credit/debit card used to make the original purchase.
*If you don't have proof of purchase, you'll be credited on an AE gift card.
How to Complete a Mail-In Return
If you ordered items online or through the AE app, you can also ship your items back via mail. If possible, reuse the original packaging to reduce waste.
- Using the online portal, you’ll need your order numer and email to pull up your order. From there, you can indicate which items you’d like to return and print the shipping label to send your items back.
- If your order qualified for free returns, there is no additional cost.
- If your order did not qualify for free returns, a $5 fee will be deducted from your refund to cover shipping costs.
