Bed Bath & Beyond Return Windows
For most products (including unused baby, toddler, and maternity items), you’ll have up to 90 days from your purchase date to exchange or return an item for a full refund. The below items have a shorter return window:
- 30 Days: Smart Home Technology and seasonal items.
- 60 Days: Electrics and opened air mattresses (new and unused air mattresses have a 90-day return window).
Items That Cannot Be Returned to Bed Bath & Beyond
- Items sold as-is
- Beyond deal items
- VEBO experiences
- Monogrammed, personalized, custom-made, or special-Order Items
- Gift cards
- Shipping or delivery charges, gift wrap, and assembly charges
Bed Bath & Beyond In-Store Returns
Whether you purchased your order online, in-store, or as a store pick-up, you can head to your local Bed Bath & Beyond retail store to make a return. For online and store pickup orders, just bring along your packing slip or store return slip to make an exchange or get a refund. For in-store orders, bring your receipt (though you may be able to make a return without one; read more on that below).
Bed Bath & Beyond Online Returns
Bed Bath & Beyond offers free returns on most online orders. Just submit your e-mail address and order number here for a free return shipping label you can print at home. Keep in mind that all of the same deadlines and return policies for specific items will apply to online purchases.
Making a Return With No Receipt
Misplaced your receipt? No need to panic. Typically the staff at Bed Bath and Beyond can find your purchase as long as you can provide the original payment method and the purchase was made within the current year.
If your receipt cannot be found, you still may be able to return or exchange new and unopened items without one. These items may be accepted for exchange or a refund in the form of a Store Credit of the current selling price minus 20% (assuming a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon has been used). Per the return policy, opened or used items without a receipt will not be accepted.
Store Credit Vs. Cash Refund
In order to issue a store or merchandise credit, Bed Bath and Beyond staff will ask you to show a government-issued photo ID. Per the return policy, opened or used items without a receipt will not be accepted.

Store credit can be applied the same as cash to any merchandise at Bed Bath & Beyond. It does not expire and can be used at Bye Bye Baby and other stores under the same company umbrella. |
