How to Save with Enterprise Plus Rewards Program

By: Mary Elizabeth Hammond

Enterprise Plus Rewards ProgramThere are plenty of ways to save with Enterprise car rentals, including with our very own Enterprise coupons. But if you're not a member of Enterprise Plus, a free rewards program, you could be missing out on some valuable perks—like free car rentals and upgrades. Read on for Groupon Coupons’ breakdown of how the program works and what you can expect to save.

What Is Enterprise Plus?

Enterprise Plus is Enterprise’s free loyalty program that earns you points on each qualifying rental. When you earn enough points (as few as 600, though it varies based on your rental details), you can redeem a free rental day on any available car with no blackout dates. Free rental days cover the base rate (time and mileage) only; it does not cover taxes, fees, surcharges, and optional products.

Other membership perks include:

  • Members-only check-in at participating Enterprise locations
  • Dedicated phone number for faster customer service
  • Exclusive offers and discount codes

Enterprise Plus Reward Tiers

Enterprise Plus Rewards has four tiers. You’ll start at the Plus tier and move up to Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers (where you’ll earn points faster and get free upgrades) by booking a certain number of car rentals. See below for the breakdown:

How to Earn Points

Points are earned with qualifying rentals on qualifying days. A qualifying rental meets the following requirements:

  • Members have paid time and mileage charges for one or more rental days.
  • Rentals are returned to an Enterprise location that participates in the Enterprise Plus program at the time of the rental return date.
  • Rentals have a valid member number applied at the time of reservation.

To get points, a qualifying rental cannot be booked through a third party like Priceline or Kayak. (Though, Enterprise owns National Car Rental, so you can book through that and still get points.) Rentals also cannot be part of a travel package or be discounted. Insurance replacement rentals or dealer replacement rentals do not qualify for points.

Points never expire so long as your account remains active—meaning you’ll need to book a qualifying rental at least once every three years.

Enterprise Plus Rewards Program Redemption

How to Redeem Points

Online

When you’re searching for cars on Enterprise.com, sign in to your account and you’ll see an option to “Pay in $” or “Pay in Points” in the left-hand corner. If you click on “Pay in Points” your prices for each car will show up in points instead of dollar amounts.

If you don’t have enough points for your whole rental, you can still use your points. You can pay for some days (it has to be paid in full days) in points and pay for the rest with your regular payment method.

In the App

After downloading the app and signing in, you’ll see how many points you have in the top right corner of the screen. Search for rentals as you normally would and below each rental option, you’ll see how many points it costs per day. After selecting your rental car, click “Redeem Points” in the top right corner. You’ll then have the option to choose how many days of your rental you want to pay for in points.
