When is the Best Time to Save on Macy’s Luggage
Generally, the best savings advice is to shop just as the season is ending. Because traveling peaks during the summer months and around the holidays, back-to-school time in August and January are great times to find deals on luggage.
But if you need to buy luggage outside of those times, take advantage of Macy’s sales. Once a month, look out for storewide deals during Macy’s One Day Sales. There can be some variation for the exact dates of these sales, but if you know the pattern, you can be ready to act when a great deal comes along.

Macy’s Luggage Sets vs. Individual Pieces
Is there more value in buying individual pieces or luggage sets? The answer really depends. Luggage sets are a more expensive investment overall, but the cost per bag is typically a lot lower. So if you need multiple pieces, say a larger bag to check on long trips and a carry-on, a luggage set is probably the best choice. But if you travel primarily for work or just on weekend trips, it might be better to buy a carry-on. You’ll pay more for the bag by itself, but you’ll be more likely to get the specific features you want or need, and you won’t be paying for add-on items that will get little to no use.
