Viator, a TripAdvisor company, helps travelers make the most of their trips with unique and affordable adventures. They offer over 200,000+ activities around the world—from walking tours of nearby attractions to day-long boat trips. If you’re looking to book on Viator, make sure you know what to expect with cancellation policies and contacting customer service. Groupon Coupons has everything you need to know below. Let’s dig in.
Viator has 24/7 customer support, which is pretty handy when you’re traveling and in a pinch. To reach Viator customer service, you can call 1(888) 680-1640 or sign in to your Viator account online and click “Help” in the top right corner. From there, your active bookings will appear in a window on the right side and you can request help.
Most Viator bookings can be canceled for a full refund up to 24 hours before it’s scheduled—but it does depend on the booking. Technically, Viator has three different cancellation policies, so be sure you check your listing before you book.
To cancel a booking, click the “Bookings” button in the top right of the home page, then select “Cancel for free by…” and follow the prompts. You should receive an email confirmation that the cancellation has gone through and a refund is being processed.
If you have a “non-refundable” booking, you won’t see an option to cancel. In this case, you can contact customer service to plead your case. (As mentioned, if your cancellation is due to COVID-19 there may be some wiggle room.)
Price Match Guarantee: If you find the same experience from the same operator, priced in the same currency, at a cheaper price within 3 days of booking or while you’re at your destination—Viator will refund the difference. To request a price match refund, email priceguarantee@viator.com with the proof of a lower price, your name, and your home address.
Reserve Now and Pay Later: Most Viator bookings will allow you to save your spot on an excursion without having to pay upfront. Viators’ Reserve Now and Pay later policy gives you the flexibility to pay whenever you want. You can set up an auto-pay that will charge you 2 days before your scheduled adventure (and you’ll be notified when that happens). If you change your mind for any reason, you can also cancel and you won’t get charged.
Check out our collection of Viator coupons before booking to find savings of up to 50% off.
