During the Halloween season, many amateur monsters can be found street side, waving sharpened cucumbers and yelling, “I’m more scared of you than you are of me!” Today's Groupon points you and your spine in the direction of shiver-sending specialists: for $20, you get an all-access pass to Active Acres Haunted Farm, including an RIP pass, which will send you to the front of the line at each attraction. Active Acres Haunted Farm is located in Newtown and is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October (excluding Halloween night), plus Thursday, October 28. This Groupon is good on any of those days with exception to Saturday, October 16 and Saturday, October 23.
Spanning 230 cursed acres in Bucks County, this large haunted farm offers three terrifying attractions—the Sleepy Hollow Hayride, the Haunted House in the Hollow, and the Field of Fright—to satisfy the season's most serious fear seekers. The Sleepy Hollow Hayride takes doomed riders on a 1.25-mile trip through darkened forests and eerie fields, disrupting numerous nocturnal villains that feed on fear and need to recharge after a summer vacation spent sweating over a shared Wii Fit. If you return from the roundabout and still want more, trek bravely through the 17 shriek-inciting rooms within the Haunted House in the Hollow, and then tiptoe across the immense cemetery that lurks behind it. The Field of Fright dares courageous folk to navigate its narrow, corn-lined passageways without the creature-comforting crutch of their mom, blanket, or mom's pacifier.
Afterwards, survivors can recuperate in front of Active Acres' bonfire, where refreshments are available and undead bands provide live post-scare entertainment. Stop by on October 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to meet Butch Patrick, who starred as The Munsters’ Eddie Munster.

- I took the kids to enjoy a night out and they had a whole lot of fun. The hayride was scary but not that scary to cause nightmares. We went after dark which helped the ride be scarier. – reynaldo a., Insider Pages
- This is great fun at Halloween time. Whether you have small kids and want to go pumpkin picking or big kids who want to go on the haunted hayrides, you will have fun. – Jeffrey H., Insider Pages
