With the belief that prevention is the best way to protect the body, they use a modern scanning system to detect potential health issues, such as cardiovascular disease, which kills more than one-third of all Americans, or lung cancer, the deadliest type of cancer in both men and women. The system snaps detailed images of the heart, lungs, bone structures, and other organs caged within the body. Images fly from the lens to the computer screen quickly, allowing staff to take pictures of moving organs typically blurred in traditional scans, such as a beating heart or a stomach still flipping from its first roller-coaster ride.
