Agave Restaurant & Bar owner Mike Miranda has a clear vision of what he wants customers to experience when they visit his restaurant. “I want people to come to Agave and experience a good, traditional plate. To go home and feel that they just ate at home and their grandma or mom just cooked it for them.”

His menu celebrates the authentic dishes of the Mexican state of Michoacan, with items such as camarones al mojo de ajo (prawns in garlic sauce) to pork chile verde. The kitchen's specialty, however, is its molcajetes—similar to fajitas, molcajetes feature a sizzling stone bowl filled with peppers, onions, chorizo, onions, cheese, and cactus, all grilled to perfection. Of course, the food is only part of the story here. True to it's name, Agave Restaurant has a full bar with tequila aplenty, as well as a party room that hosts entertainment throughout the week, including karaoke nights and live polka bands.
