From heating up the floor next to Benny the Bull to teaching little ones how to pirouette, Jessica Goldman knows a thing or two about dance. She opened the state-of-the-art dance studio All About Dance Chicago in 2005 in the middle of the Old Town and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, after ending her run as a competitive dancer, Minnesota Vikings cheerleader, and Chicago Luvabull dancer. Her goal was simply to bring a love of dance to students of all ages and abilities. Classes welcome kids, teens, and adults alike. There are even cardio classes for those just looking for a fun way to spice up their workouts. Their signature FYD class is 55 minutes class begins with dance-based warm ups including toning and stretching exercises, followed by a dance routine that will engage your mind, body, and spirit and then a cardio dance party of sorts that will help you burn maximum calories. For more novice dancers, they offer the ElectriFYD class, a 45-minute combo of lead and follow dances along with weight/toning exercises. Also nearby is a free parking lot close to the studio and the brown line Sedgwick stop is only a block away.
