About Alpine Village OktoberBEAST
Named one of the 10 Best Oktoberfests by USA Today readers, Alpine Village Oktoberfest is the oldest and largest event of its kind in the Los Angeles area. Since 1968, partiers have shimmied into lederhosen to down sausages and sauerkraut and wash 'em down with beers from Germany's Warsteiner brewing company.
The whole experience takes place at Alpine Village, which maintains its German-themed decor throughout a market, restaurant, and beer hall. During Oktoberfest, a massive tent envelops visitors, letting them forget they're in Southern California and instead imagine the 110 as a range of the Alps. For the special weekend of OktoberBEAST traditional oom-pah-pah and modern rock music and dances get mixed with Halloween decor, costumes, and special additions such as a scavenger hunt and Thriller flash mob."
