Andouille Festival owes its name to a French smoked sausage brought to Louisiana by French immigrants. Each year, its participants gather to enjoy a weekend full of live music and palate-tingling flavors. For those who wish to put their cooking skills up to the test, the event holds a special competition—each contestant must prepare own recipes, basing the dishes on andouille. But that's only a fraction of all the attractions—there's also the Andouille talent show, pageant contest, and a 5-mile race.
