Antique Coach & Carriage Company can suggest sightseeing routes (during Christmas they offer tours of the Loop so you can see the tree in Daley Plaza and the decorations at the Marshall Field's building), or passengers can choose their own routes.

Chicago, with its skyscrapers and alleyways, is a nice place to be towed by a horse, especially past alleyways or up skyscrapers. Ride in an open or a closed carriage; the carriages seat up to six people, so this Groupon is great to give friends, family, or out-of-town guests a unique way to take in Chicago. Plus, carriage rides are romantic, because horses are incredibly romantic animals, known for excessive nuzzling and wrapping boxes of chocolates with their hooves. A lone nuzzler towing two human beings or three couples is often interpreted as a powerful portent of romance, especially on a cool fall evening when everything seems serene, peaceful, and on the brink of nuzzles.

Tours run year round, and this Groupon can be used on weekdays, when they run from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, taking off from at the southeast corner of Huron and Michigan. Antique Carriage's horses, which weigh anywhere from 1,200 lbs. to 2,300 lbs., are expert cloppers with years of experience, good eyesight, and attractive manes. Their hooves, which are durable and all-natural stompers, travel the city streets with a merry clop that echoes poignantly through every alley and heart.
