About Arizona Snowbowl

One of the oldest continually operated ski areas in the United States, Arizona Snowbowl creates opportunities for outdoor enjoyment all year round. In the summer, visitors escape the heat with rides on Arizona Snowbowl's scenic chairlift. During the 50-minute roundtrip ride, guests get plenty of time to take photos and view wildlife as they ascend to 11,500 feet to the top of an extinct volcano. From the top, they see views that reach as far as the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff's volcanic field, along with panoramic sights of Sedona's Red Rock Country.

Back at the base of the lift, adventurers explore the surroundings even more while hiking nearby trails and partaking in free disc golf. Meanwhile, guests sip cocktails and sandwiches at the Agassiz Lodge, which features live music on select days and has a shop for souvenirs.

Arizona Snowbowl also brings winter sports to the desert. Visitors keep warm in the resort’s two lodges, which preside over 777 skiable acres spread across 55 runs in the San Francisco Mountains. Whether they’re taking their first lessons or heading out for another day on the slopes, guests can expect fresh, manicured snow tended to by the park’s seasoned crew. Skiers and snowboarders also hit the Sunset Terrain Park for obstacles including rails and boxes.
