Back by popular demand, The Mystery of Irma Vep returns to ATC for the first time since its original crowd-pleasing production in 1999. Irma Vep follows two fleet-footed actors as they portray all the residents of Mandacrest estate in this fast-paced gothic horror spoof. Equity actors Bob Sorenson and Oliver Wadsworth don wigs and wolvish threads as they transform into a hilarious and hirsute host of lords, ladies, vampires, werewolves, and mummies. Dubbed "a delightful baptism in farce" by the Phoenix New Times, Irma Vep transports theater-goers from the moors of England to the tombs of Egypt, amid an evening of plentiful plot turns and lycanthropy-fighting laughter.
Serving both the Phoenix and Tucson theater communities, Arizona Theatre Company has masterminded upward of 200 stage productions in its more than 40-year history. Purchase up to two tickets to treat a friend to the magic of the theater, or use your second ticket to attend a subsequent performance, where you can astound those around you by accurately predicting every twist of the plot.
Ticket prices vary by performance date. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Contains mature themes and language.
