- Tissue Regeneration Therapy via Softwave therapy is an effective approach for healing the human body. The acoustic waves stimulate your body’s natural process for self repair. It is FDA approved!
- This technology is not new! It is a German technology that has been in Europe for 14 years and is now a leading non-invasive treatment here in the U.S.
- The Softwaves penetrate deep into damaged tissue which leads to increased mobility and significant reduction in inflammation and pain.
- Stem cell migration is the most important mechanism of SoftWave therapy. The waves cause the cell membrane of damaged cells to become permeable and pass proteins through the membranes via exosomes that mimic cellular injury. This stimulates the body to initiate a biologic cascade for cellular repair. Which includes removal of damaged cells/tissue, generation of stem cell attractants and recruitment of stem cells that lead to new and healthy tissues.
- Softwaves are proven to have a 300% increase in small, medium, and large blood vessels within 12 weeks following the first treatment. The increased blood flow to the area promotes repair/healing, helps fight infections and destroys biofilms that protect sinister bacteria colonies.
What to expect during treatment
- Over healthy tissue, you will feel little more than a pulsation. Once the probe passes over damaged or inflamed tissue, you will feel pain increase. This serves as a great diagnostic tool in knowing which areas need more Softwave therapy. For full benefit, the pain scale should be a level 5-7 for maximum benefit.
What to expect after TRT treatment
- Significant reduction of pain typically lasts from 4 to 7 days after the first treatment and healing continues up to 12 weeks following your last treatment.
- You can return to a normal lifestyle immediately after treatment including light athletic workouts but avoid extreme exercise that might re-injure the treatment area through overuse.
- Avoid ice and anti-inflammatory medicine for several days after therapy as this may reduce outcomes
- Drink lots of water
- You may experience fatigue, tingling sensation in the treatment area, or mild soreness and stiffness for the first 48 hours. All of these are normal in the healing/ repair process.

About Atlanta Ortho Stem
Your Trusted Atlanta Source for a Non-Surgical Alternative to Reducing and Managing Pain via Soft Shockwave Tissue Regeneration Therapy.
How We Help
Tissue regeneration (also known as Softwave Therapy) is known to help your body heal, reduce pain, and treat many issues and conditions including chronic plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis,
tennis elbow, shoulder tendonitis, other chronic tendon problems, and chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
What is Tissue Regeneration Therapy
TRT has been used for over 40 years to help provide a non-surgical alternative to pain management and pain reduction in various areas and joints. It uses patented, FDA 510(k) cleared unfocused acoustic waves, known as SoftWaves® to produce both positive and negative (Tensile) forces on cells.
Our probe generates waves that affect cells within a two-inch diameter. Though all of the cells in this target area are exposed, only pathologic tissue reacts.
TRT is also known as Stem Wave Therapy, Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (or ESWT), Acoustic Wave Therapy, SoftWave Therapy, Soft Wave Therapy, or Soft Wave Acoustic TRT.
What are the Benefits of TRT
TRT uses extracorporeal shock waves, which means it happens outside of the body. So, it's not invasive like surgery. Avoiding surgery for joint pain means that you won't have the recovery period including missing work or other activities.
Surgery also comes with inherent risks, which regenerative medicine and treatments can help you avoid. Using Stem Wave Therapy doesn't require any anesthesia.
According to the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, "Shockwave therapy was originally developed to disintegrate urinary stones four decades ago. Since then, there has been remarkable progress regarding the knowledge of its biological and therapeutic effects." "Its mechanism of action is based on acoustic mechanical waves that act at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels to generate a biological response," adds the Journal.
