Escape adult world woes and trek back to an era of popsicles, pogs, and imaginary friends made out of variegated maize ears with today’s Groupon. For $11, you can putt, play, and pitch to your heart’s content with all-day admission to Austin’s Park, a $23 value. Regularly priced tickets are $7.95 for kids 40"–43" tall and free for children under 40", so this deal lets taller people get in on the discounts, too. Round up all the rug rats you know or watched on television shows for a fun time that's perfect for birthday parties, post-baseball game celebrations, and Ugly Betty premieres.

Boasting more than 50,000 square feet of indoor attractions and 22 acres of outdoor entertainment, the options for amusement are endless, especially if you stay inside the park after it closes to determine if it is haunted (not recommended). Inside, zap your friends with a rousing round of laser tag, get a case of Nintendo thumb in the video arcade, or scale simulated peaks on the rock-climbing wall. Al fresco entertainment includes mini golf, bumper boats, batting cages, go-karts, and oversized teacups designed to spin small ones silly. Carbo-load at the all-you-can-eat pasta, salad, and pizza buffet to stay energized all day.

Austin’s Park is located right off exit #248 on I-35 and is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • it was fun acting like a kid again. The go carts and laser tag are great and you can ride as many times as you want. The food was included in the package and the beer is ice cold. – lowcostenergy
  • We went with some friends and their kids this Saturday and had a blast! The place is huge and there were plenty of things to keep everyone busy all day. – austnchrssy

Vicious and Valiant at the Amusement Park

Austin’s Park is a place where your childhood dreams of amusement lay at your fingertips, but just because you get to feel like a kid, doesn’t mean you should act like one. Here’s a guide to proper park behavior featuring opposite-attitudeded children Vicious and Valiant:

At the Spinning Tea Cups Valiant: Spins calmly and closes his eyes when he feels sick.
Vicious: Was planning to throw up even before he got there and was just looking for an excuse.

At the Bumper Boats Valiant: Makes eye contact with other drivers before playfully ramming them.
Vicious: Brings a baseball bat.

At Laser Tag Valiant: Is conscious of younger players and wishes everyone a “job well done.”
Vicious: Corrals an army of younger players to take over the rest of the park with laser weapons and fierce bites.

At the Go-Karts Valiant: Slows his speed to make tight turns.
Vicious: Was planning to throw up even before he got there and was just looking for an excuse.
