Trainers help students of all experience levels hone riding skills atop arabian show horses in spacious indoor facility

Horsemanship was once a vital skill, much like the ability to avoid sailing off the end of the earth or discern which pizza trees were poisonous. Master an ancient art of survival with today’s Groupon to Bay Area Equestrian Center in Pearland. Choose between the following options:

  • For $40, you get two 30-minute private horseback-riding lessons (an $80 value).
  • For $60, you get four 30-minute private horseback-riding lessons (a $160 value).

Bay Area Equestrian Center’s lifelong horse enthusiast and owner, Lynn Almond, is joined by trainer Laurie Long to hone students’ riding skills within a 14-acre facility. Wranglers saddle up rain or shine in an indoor riding arena, where one of the school’s 20 trustworthy arabian show horses gallop, trot, and ride other horses on command. With an emphasis on several different styles, lessons welcome students of all levels while bolstering self-esteem and confidence. Though trainers supply all necessary equipment, riders should wear long pants and boots to satisfy the steeds’ strict tastes in fashion.

About Bay Area Equestrian Center

At Bay Area Equestrian Center, riders can advance from basic lessons all the way up to horse ownership and national-level competition on the Arabian show circuit. They do so under the guidance of Lynn Almond, who founded Friendswood Riding School in 1990 and turned it into BAEC in 1995. A member of the horse community her entire life, Lynn has used her wisdom to vault students to national championships in Western, Hunter, and Sidesaddle riding styles. Today, the center's visitors can learn from Lynn and her team during private and group lessons.
