Sharpen your strokes during a 90-minute standup-paddleboard lesson, in which a friendly staff member will run through the basic equipment and conditions, such as comfortably carrying and mounting a paddleboard, proper safety precautions, and how to back flip while jumping through a hoop of fire. Once boarders have a good grasp of the concepts and their manual propeller, instructors will dive into turning techniques and effective methods for approaching headwind. After the lesson, participants will understand enough of the intricacies of the Hawaiian forward stroke and the C-stroke to take out their own paddleboards for an hour on a different day and attempt to teach the water how to love.
