Relax and recharge with today's Groupon, offering a $99 romantic stay at BlissWood Bed and Breakfast, a sprawling 650-acre ranch featuring cozy turn-of-the-century Texas homes. Only one and a half to two hours by car from Houston, your romantic getaway includes fresh flowers, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of chilled champagne. When you redeem your Groupon, you can upgrade to include horseback riding for an extra $40 (normally $69 per guest) and feed your horse all the champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries you want. The horseback ride takes you on a romantic, leisurely trip through meadows and forests, across creeks, and into gymnastics arenas.
The peaceful property houses a number of completely furnished homes. Families can bunk up at the Texan Farm House, a restored two-story with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and a bath featuring a clawfoot tub. (If you want to bring the kids on your getaway for two, additional guests are $35 per person.) Privacy-seeking scribes can shack up at the The Writer's Cabin, a small, single-room cabin ideal for churning out best sellers.
Take a nature stroll, spy beautiful birds, or pet ranch-dwelling critters during your stay. Venture out to the surrounding Texas Hill Country area for prime antique shopping, historical attractions, and beautiful wildflowers. This Groupon is great for modern-day Goldilocks-types looking to enjoy the comforts of someone else's home, city dwellers looking for urban detox, or couples hoping to cozy up in the country for Valentine's Day (subject to availability).
BlissWood Bed and Breakfast normally requires a 2-night minimum stay on weekends and holidays. However, there is no required minimum stay if you purchase a Groupon.

- Absolutely relaxing and charming bed and breakfast in a country setting that is not too far from the city by any stretch of the imagination. - Blisswood is a perfect place for all ages, especially people who have lived in the city all their lives. It really opened my eyes and gave me a feeling of the open-area farm life. – BedandBreakfast.com user, 12/30/2009
