The Discovery Flight lesson is intended for customers who want to gauge their interest in flying or just want to enjoy an aerial tour. Following a ground briefing, students will take control of a training aircraft for approximately 60-minutes under supervision of an FAA-certified flight instructor. The flight-training starter package is geared toward those interested in learning how to pilot an airplane, and includes more comprehensive one-on-one ground instruction along with approximately one hour each of flying and in the flight simulator. Ground training will take place on regularly scheduled nights in a classroom environment, and flight training will occur in a Diamond aircraft.
For the flight-training starter package, up to two passengers can accompany the Groupon-holder for an additional fee of $25 per person. At the time of reservation, the one-hour flight lesson may be upgraded to a larger aircraft that allows passengers for an additional fee of $50. Weight restrictions apply and passengers must be mentioned when making a reservation.
