The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but to make it that far you have to be disguised as baked goods: for $8, today's Groupon gets you $16 worth of artisan-baked goods at Bon Ton Bakery, located on 149 Street north of 87th Avenue.
Bon Ton Bakery is a European-inspired bakeshop handcrafting breads, tortes, and more from fresh, high-quality ingredients. A bounty of beautifully decorated cakes, flans, and tortes contribute to Bon Ton's eclectic offerings, including an apple berry lemon tart ($14.95), a cheese flan ($11.95), and a flourless chocolate torte ($7.95 for a small) more luxurious than a night spent at Versailles covered in paraffin wax. Additionally, Bon Ton offers a vast selection of breads, including a simple and wholesome French baguette ($2.75) and a dark, mysterious loaf of rye ($3.95). A tasty selection of cookies, pastries, and Viennoiseries round out the indulgent menu.
Attention to detail, a commitment to using natural and local ingredients wherever possible, and a caring, knowledgeable staff create an intimate environment that nourishes your tummy, and more importantly, the bland, dessert-less crevasses of your heart. The large, open bakery lines its walls with the day's breads and baked goods, tempting visitors with intoxicating visuals and scents that can later become tastes.
This offer is not valid from December 15, 2010, to January 1, 2011. This deal is only valid for baked goods.
