Located on the fourth floor of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, the brewery’s patio is open during the warmer months of the year and offers diners an incredible scenic view while perusing the lunch, dinner, and drinks menus. The brewery cooks up traditional American grub with a touch of international inspiration, offering lunch and dinner crowds a hot french dip sandwich (with a side of horseradish and au jus, $11.95), a blackened ahi tuna sandwich (seared rare with red onions, $12.95), and the famous BBC meatloaf (with a mushroom gravy and garlic mashed potatoes, $15.95). Haunted Hotels and How to Cope
The Bonaventure Brewing Co. is located in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, which, unlike most hotels, is not haunted. Hotels, along with insane asylums and elementary schools, are the most commonly haunted buildings for two reasons: first, because the land is inexpensive, hotels tend to be built atop sacred burial grounds; second, ghosts prefer to stay in places with beds.
If you find yourself in a haunted hotel room, there are steps you can take to befriend the ghosts. This is most easily done by making some popcorn and watching the film Ghost because ghosts love to complain about the film’s inaccurate, love-filled portrayal of the afterlife. Ghosts can also be turned away by discussions of politics, which they find déclassé.

About Bonaventure Brewing Co
On the roof of Bonaventure Brewing Co. sits a verdant, manicured square of lawn and a little copse of trees. Carved into that is the circle of a heated outdoor patio that expands into panoramic views of the downtown Los Angeles skyline. Perched atop the fourth floor pool deck, the patio shares the restaurant's 9,000 total square feet with a wood-paneled dining room and an in-house brewery. Here, head brewer David Blackwell creates a trio of award winning beers: pale ale, strawberry blonde, and the Marathon.
Blackwell's ales and a handful of guest beers complement the kitchen's approach to pub food, which ranges from classic bar bites to more upscale, steakhouse-style entrees. The traditional end of the spectrum includes calamari tempura-battered in the brewery's blonde ale, as well as Angus burgers coated in blackened spices and topped with bleu cheese and chipotle aioli. The brewery end features dishes such as macadamia-crusted Mahi-Mahi and bacon-wrapped filet mignon.
