This summer take advantage of car-less transportation to Cape Cod with Boston Harbor Cruises' Provincetown Fast Ferry. This fast ferry gets you from Boston to Provincetown in 90 minutes flat for great shopping, great dining, and plenty of other great Cape Cod activities. Cruise the open water, soaking up rays on the deck or hitting the bar (with comfy chairs and WiFi) in the cabin. Plus you can experience Cape Cod without the side effects of traffic and parking hassles, which may include Cape Rage, Cape Bloodlust, and Cape-somnia.

The ferry departs from Long Wharf in Boston and the return trip leaves from MacMillan Wharf in Provincetown. During the entire week, ferries leave Boston at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and depart Provincetown at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. On Thursdays through Sundays, an additional ferry leaves Boston at 6:30 p.m. and Provincetown at 8:30 p.m. Departure times are good through September 6. Traditional Provincetown Pilgrim Poem

Provincetown, currently home to the largest population of retired Pilgrims in the world, was once the epicenter of Pilgrim-poets who eloquently captured the town's unique Pilgrim-spirit. The following is one of the most highly regarded Pilgrim-penned Provincetown poems circa 1600s-ish:

Pilgrims are the best,
We decided to go west,
For vacation (but we called it freedom),
So we founded P-Town,
Had a ferry travel down,
From Boston with the utmost speed, ma'am,

P-Town! P-Town!
Shops and plays and restaurants and fests!
Provincetown, a Pilgrimy town,
P-Town beaches are the best!

That catchy poem can be hummed while enjoying authentic Pilgrim activities such as hanging out, sunbathing, or just doing whatever. Besides inventing the turkey, Provincetown thankfully gave us local art and colorful taverns as well. As the Pilgrims still say, history is best appreciated as it is happening forthwith, bro.
