Bowling a perfect game requires unparalleled hand-eye coordination, a bit of luck, and, in most cases, the friendship of a powerful wizard able to distract other players as you fudge the scorecard. Today's Groupon lets you enjoy a magical time regardless of who you bring along: for $20, you get $40 worth of bowling at Bowlmor Lanes. Choose between the Union Square or Times Square locations.
One of the country's longest contiguously running bowling alleys, Bowlmor Lanes gives America's favorite pastime an upscale makeover, adding dramatic architecture, state-of-the-art technology, and chic food and drinks. The Union Square location boasts 42 luxurious lanes of glow-in-the-dark bowling ($11.95+ per person per game), as well as swanky, wrap-around red and black couches and state-of-the-art flat-screen TVs beaming remarks about the handsomeness of each bowler.
Bowlmor's newest Times Square location divides its 45 lanes between six-themed lounges, each representing an iconic New York neighborhood or time period, including Chinatown, Central Park, Art Deco, and Prohibition & Pop. In the Coney Island lounge, rather than bowl ($24+ per 30-minute lane rental), visitors can play classic boardwalk games, drink carnival-inspired cocktails, and gawk at live circus performers as they tame lions with the soothing scent of bowling shoe aerosol spray. Both locations feature fine cuisine (not covered by this Groupon) developed by celebrity chef David Burke, as well as full-service bars brimming with comprehensive beer, wine, and liquor lineups.
