Baltimoreans can get built like a brick brickhouse, toned like a tiki tower, or sculpted like a sculpture with today's deal: 20 classes at Brick Bodies and Lynne Brick's for $19. That's less than a dollar per class for a package that normally would cost $200, and it's good for any of the seven locations, not including the state-of-the-art underground gladiator pit (due for completion in 2012).

Since you'll get to choose from a fitness cornucopia of 34 different types of group classes, you might want to limit yourself to the ones that best match your personality and goals, be they world domination or dance-floor domination. Dancin' fools can sweat off a few pounds and learn some Latin dance steps in the popular Zumba class. Newbies can ease in at their own pace with the low-impact, rejuvenating BodyVive workout, which incorporates VIVE balls, tubes, and optional hand weights. There's BodyFlow for the thinkers, BodyCombat for the fighters, and BodyAttack for the athletes. You can also get head-to-toe buff in a hurry with BodyPump, or go easy on the joints with a little all-you-can-drink AquaSculpting water aerobics. Available classes vary by location.

Designed by the fitness club's Renaissance-woman founder, Lynne Brick, and her equally accomplished husband, Victor, Brick Bodies' classes are comfortable, co-ed, and results-oriented. Even if your preferred results are "I want my left glute, and only my left glute, to be hard as a rock," you'll probably find a class on the class schedule that will help you achieve it. The two Lynne Brick's locations feature women-only facilities and classes, if preferred. Best of all, with such a variety of classes, you'll never have to take the same class twice.

Grants access to locker room and classes only, not the rest of the gym facilities. Must be 21 or older.

Reviews

Brick Bodies/Lynne Brick's gets regular mention in a variety of local and national media, including the Baltimore Examiner, Women's Health, and Men's Health:

  • There were several aspects that put Brick above the rest of the competition. And while size doesn’t always matter, in this case it made a difference. The layout is big—with enough room that the cardio is completely separate from the weights. – Adam Bornstein, Men's Health
