Scientists argue that children are our future, which is why most children are sealed in time capsules with a flashlight and a stack of magazines. Give a child something he or she will really dig with today's deal: for $55, you get one month of classes, with one class per week, at Byers Gymnastics Center (up to a $121 value). This Groupon also covers the insurance fee ($25), the family-membership fee ($15), and the cost of a pre-trial session to determine the appropriate class for your child ($16). Choose from three locations: Elk Grove, Roseville, or Citrus Heights.
Each Byers Gym location offers a multitude of flexibility-forming and confidence-building weekly gymnastics classes for children of all ages. Parent Participation classes, running 50 minutes, introduce baby-aged youngsters to the wonderful world of coordination, motor skills, and sweet tunes ($63 a month), as grown-ups follow their precocious progeny through age-appropriate exercises and musical activities. Teach your tykes some independence with a 50-minute Tots class for ages three and up ($65 a month), or opt for the one-hour Kindergym classes for ages four and five ($65 a month) that introduce simple tumbling exercises and basic drills for bars, beam, vault, and non-rocket-powered trampoline. More advanced classes ($65 a month) are available for kids, age six and older, looking to hone their talents and foster a lifelong love of leotards. The dedicated instructors at Byers Gymnastics feel that small classes are essential for learning, and although Parent Participation classes can have as many as 15 youngsters, most other classes are capped at eight students––or approximately one pint-sized KC and the Sunshine Band tribute act. To find a class, check out the schedules at Elk Grove, Roseville, or Citrus Heights.
Byers Gymnastics Center was founded in 1972 by Karl Byers, a NCAA All-American gymnast, and JoAnne Byers, an acrobatics enthusiast. They've stocked their expansive gym spaces with brightly colored mats and high-quality gymnastics equipment, providing a nurturing environment for kids to develop the athletic, social, and flexibility skills they'll need to succeed in the world of competitive limbo.
Children must be of walking age to take a Parental Participation class.

About Byers Gymnastics Center
As soon as children are old enough to walk, they are old enough to begin honing their coordination, body-awareness, and basic motor skills through engaging and age-appropriate gymnastics lessons. That's the central philosophy driving the instructors at Byers Gymnastics, which has four locations, and a 40-year legacy of providing both basic and competition-level training for boys and girls ranging from toddlers to teenagers. While youngsters learn the fundamentals of jumping, balancing, and rolling, older students can master more challenging routines and learn to safely use various pieces of traditional gymnastics equipment, such as the balance beams, floor, vault, and tumble trak, and the slightly off-kilter stepladder. These year-round programs cater to visitors of virtually all interests and levels, and share the common goal of building stamina and flexibility, while also teaching students the value of perseverance and self-determination.
