Students train as a bartender with industry veterans during this crash course. Each student gets one-on-one time behind the bar making and tasting real drinks at Infusion Lounge in San Francisco’s iconic Union Square. The class is split into two fast-paced segments. In the first segment, cocktails are broken down into two main subcategories to help students uncover their secrets and learn the fundamental building blocks underneath all cocktails, and each drink is built in stages and students taste at each level.

After the first segment, students undergo a crash course in how to shake, strain, move, and twist like a professional bartender. Then everyone gets a chance to spend individual time with a mixologist while behind the bar with the other students watching, learning different bartending styles and being introduced to the tools of the trade. This is followed by a Q&A if time is available.
