Just minutes outside Philadelphia on the Camden Waterfront is a place where you can see frolicking penguins, touch a shark and stand nose-to-nose with a 3,000-pound hippo. The miraculous water world at Adventure Aquarium has something for everyone with it's more than 8,500 aquatic species in 2 million gallons of water: sea turtles, jellyfish, a giant octopus and the only hammerhead shark and silky sharks on exhibit in the United States. Take the 40-foot Shark Tunnel through a 550,000-gallon tank that holds the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast. And if it's not enough to be swimming with the sharks, head over to the Hippo Haven, where you can meet big-and-beautiful Button and Genny, a pair of Nile hippos. When they dive underwater, they just might swim up to the glass where you're standing and give you a hippo kiss. You can also watch daily shows featuring up-close animal experiences and learn more about the creatures you're encountering. And from December 4-31, you can experience holiday magic with the Christmas Celebration, featuring Rudolph, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster and SCUBA Santa!

Please note: Adult and child admission tickets must be purchased in separate transactions. Admission tickets at the Goldstar price are only available online and must be purchased in advance.

• All exhibits, with the exception of the penguin exhibit, are inside.
• Most guests arrive between noon and 2:00pm. If you want to avoid the crowds, visit earlier or later.
• The average time spent visiting Adventure Aquarium is three hours. It’s a self-guided tour, so each person’s visit will differ.
• Secure and monitored parking is conveniently located adjacent to the aquarium. Guests pay on exit. Cash, Mastercard and Visa are accepted for payment.
