About Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

Casa Escondida means "hidden house" in Spanish and, for this B&B, the name certainly fits. The adobe inn is tucked away amid desert brush, colorful wildflowers, and views of the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Fodor's praised it as "intimate and peaceful."

The inn resembles a Spanish villa with its wooden viga rafters and tiled floors. Inside, guest rooms are decorated with antique furnishings, and some are outfitted with fireplaces. In the brightly lit Sun room, wide french doors lead to a private patio that looks out on a butterfly garden. The Wildflower room houses a clawfoot tub.

Casa Escondida is less than an hour from Bandelier National Monument, known for its ancient dwellings and petroglyph drawings. In winter, you can easily reach nearby ski resorts from the inn.
