What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The Central Florida Dreamplex is a fitness center that provides services and training equipment accessible to ALL persons. The facility offers Cybex Total Access strength training equipment and cardiovascular training equipment that can be used by both the able-bodied and persons with disabilities. Our exercise physiologist works with those with and without disabilities to form a personal fitness plan that is unique to each member. We offer low-cost membership options to make fitness affordable to everyone. There are never any start-up fees or membership contracts. Your membership fee is essentially a donation that supports our programs!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The Central Florida Dreamplex was the idea of a local pediatric therapy group that wanted to provide places for individuals with disabilities to work, play, and maintain a healthy lifestyle at any age or ability level. As medical insurance companies continue to slash coverages for pediatric therapies, the Dreamplex offers alternative therapy methods through fitness and special interest classes for children and adults with special needs. The Dreamplex also provides fitness opportunities for family members of those with special needs, allowing parents and children to enjoy recreational activities together. Those without disabilities are also welcome to join the Dreamplex as fitness club members, which helps to support our programs for those with special needs and keeps their costs minimal.
