What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

We offer comprehensive training for dogs regardless of breed, age, or issues. There are many businesses who train dogs, but what happens when the trainer leaves? It’s up to the owner to maintain the training and this is where we shine: Teaching owners how to handle/train their dogs and encouraging them to be better neighbors, friends, and members of the community.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

We learned dog training back East in Charlotte (partially the inspiration for our name) and it turned from a hobby to a passion. There is a need here in our home area of the Pacific Northwest for dog trainers who can work with both the dogs and the owners. Besides, we grew up the area and it’s nice to be back home.

What do you love most about your job?

The best thing about being a trainer is the look you see on peoples faces once their “impossible” dog starts listening to commands. It’s like watching a kid at Christmas almost every week. It’s one thing to see a well behaved dog, it’s another to realize that well behaved dog is yours!

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

A dog named Tess. Her owners were 8 months pregnant and Tess was a nightmare in the house, chasing cats, barking, destructive behaviors, the works. They were sure they were going to need to get rid of their dog. 4 weeks later we had Tess walking off-leash beside them and chill in the house, we cleared them for group class and her owners broke down and started bawling because they were going to be able to keep her.
