About Charlotte B-cycle

Think of Charlotte B-Cycle sort of like a library—except instead of lending out books, the program lends out 200 cool blue three speeds from 24 stations throughout the city. To take one for a spin, bikers just need a membership, which covers unlimited rides (30 or 60 minutes each depending on the membership type) for durations ranging from one day to one year. Member card in hand, participants can unlock any bike and pedal to various locations, dropping their ride off at the nearest bike share station when they're done.

This program might sound reminiscent of bike share programs in New York, Chicago, and other major cities—because it is. Stations are located throughout Uptown and the surrounding neighborhoods, from JCSU to Freedom Park.
