Break through the restrictive tracks of competitive toy-train racing with the zip-zagging nature of go-karting. Chart your own course with today's deal: for $22, you get a five-race pass to Checkered Flag Indoor Karting in Haverhill, a $42 value. Today's deal also includes the $5 license fee, giving this Groupon a $47 total value.
Challenge friends, family, and strangers to a professionally officiated race on the snaking main track. The 23,000-square-foot main track is your battleground; a zippy, 15-horsepower Electra Motorsport RS-R kart is your chariot. The speedway features 100 feet of straightaway and 10 twisty turns with electronic timing and scoring. Each race consists of 20 laps and takes about 7–10 minutes to cruise through, depending on your speed and experience of the field. Karts feature super handling and acceleration, dual disc brakes, and customizable settings for each driver. Perseverance, electricity, and a single Jeff Gordon hair power each miniature speedster.
There is no age minimum for drivers on the main track, only a 54-inch height requirement. Those under 54 inches can check out the $10 side deal for a 30-minute mini-track race. Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes to keep trolls living near the accelerators from secretly painting your toenails fuchsia. Drivers can use all five races in one visit or return another day to finish the job. With no limit on the number of Groupons you pick up, this is an opportune opportunity to restock your fridge with multiple five-packs of stone-cold racing.
Checkered Flag is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for private events. Check the hours for more information.

About Checkered Flag Indoor Karting- OOB
A stream of yellow and black buzzes by. It's not a swarm of bumblebees, but friends and family racing each other in yellow and black go-karts around Checkered Flag Indoor Karting's 23,000-square-foot speedway. Strapping on helmets and sliding in behind the wheel of 15HP electric karts, up to 10 drivers jockey for position while whipping around eight snaky turns and sling-shooting past opponents on the wide lanes along the 100-foot front stretch. The facility's electronic timing system lets speedsters check out their best lap times from each 15-lap race. Racers must be at least 54" tall or born with tires instead of feet to traverse that track, but during birthday parties kids aged 4–9 and at least 36" tall zip across the 100-foot Mini Cup track. With a snack bar slicing pizza and pouring soda and an arcade, the facility can play host to parties for older kids and adults, as well as corporate team-building events. And for kids and adults seeking serious competition, Checkered Flag organizes leagues lead by indoor karting champion, Tom Prioli.
