The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers is THE premier, high end health club. You've wanted to join your whole life and never known it. Until now. Now you know. Because we told you. Now that you know, you should also know they're offering a two week membership for only $40—just pennies an exercise. A single day pass is normally $50. We can't even calculate what percentage savings that is on our fingerlator, but we do know that it means you're getting 2 weeks at this premier health club for less than the cost of a single day! Visit the Club at the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers Pier 60 (2nd Floor).
The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers is open Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; and weekends, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. You can lay out on the sundeck or take a class in the boxing ring. Then take advantage of the six lane, 25-yard swimming pool, the quarter-mile running track, the 10,000 square foot rock climbing wall and the sand volleyball court all indoors. Relax in the steam rooms and sauna. You're not done yet, time to hit each of three basketball and volleyball courts, 20,000 square feet of cardio and strength training equipment and over a hundred group fitness classes per week. Take a water break. Now go take group classes in yoga or pilates. The Sports Center is so large it has it's own seat at the U.N. It's the number one reason why New York apartments are small. When it sits around the house, it sits around the house. It's so fat because, like a righteous martyr, it bears its customers’ fat, so that they may live free of fat's burden.
Keep your eyes peeled when you're in this club because you may even run into a celebrity. And we don't mean the drunken skanky celebrities, but the good ones. But the Sports Center is good for more than celebrity spotting — it's a wonderful, social community where people meet friends and enjoy the facilities together (after weeks of creepily spying on each other's workout habits to see if they're worthy of friendship). The Club overlooks the Hudson, and would make a great Memorial Day hang out spot for you and your new fitness buddies.

- "Allow me to say WOW!!! I am not a work-out freak but I absolutely love this place. I was able to get a free pass to try out this place.. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL PACKAGE!! anything you ask for you will get it." - Lucy L.
- "The Sports Center is perfectly located...The space is the size of like, three hangers! It is full of natural sunlight and offers stunning views of the water and passing boats. The staff is extremely nice and there is no attitude anywhere, which I found out is a common thing at other gyms...The equipment is state-of-the-art, and there is so much of it you never have to wait." - Richard B
