$29 for Two One-Day Tickets to the Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival on May 5 or 6 ($60 Value)
Now in its fifth year—and its first at Bay Bridge Marina—the Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival immerses guests in two days of music, food, and wines from across the globe. The Maryland tent holds carefully selected pours from throughout the state, drawn from such vineyards as St. Michaels Winery, Layton's Chance Winery, Mark Cascia Vineyards, and Cove Point Winery, complementing a selection of international wines. One hundred and forty craft brews pour from outfits including Evolution, Flying Dog, and Heavy Seas.
Live music soundtracks the entire festival. On Saturday, Uncle Jack pays tribute to classic funk, disco, and Motown tunes with singer Nova Peele's soaring vocals and a full band that includes a trumpet, saxophone, and dog whistle that only the grooviest mutts can hear. The Roadhouse Clams represent the Eastern Shore on Sunday, mixing back-country folksiness with whip-smart lyrics and high-energy country-pop tunes. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. both days, and tasting samples are included in admission.
