At Churon Winery, 11 acres of grapes over rolling hills are visible from the grand lobby's rotunda. Once you turn inside the château-like building, a marble staircase leads to the tasting room. There, visitors can sample the fruit of the annual harvest—award-winning wines produced by head winemaker Benny Rodriguez. They include a smooth Pinot Noir with hints of rose and black cherry, a velvety Grenache spiked with a bit of spice, and a Passionate Peach sparkling white wine that proves popular year after year. And while tasting reservations are available every day of the week, overnight guests of the winery are invited to enjoy a five-course meal with wine pairings so they can sample the vintages alongside fine cuisine, when available.
