In a Lasik procedure, the doctor reshapes the cornea with highly precise lasers so that the eye refracts light directly onto the retina, sharpening the eye’s vision. Very similar to Lasik, PRK surgery reshapes the surface of the cornea, rather than tissue under the corneal flap, to improve vision in the same way that Lasik does.
