The Comedy Club Stardome has been bringing comedic talent to Birmingham since 1983, when it played host to then-unknowns Tim Allen, Sinbad, and James Gregory. The club is currently in its third iteration, having moved, burned down, and finally been brought back to life by the necromantic arts of owner Bruce Ayers.
Steve "Mudflap" McGrew earned his chops on the Houston comedy scene, appearing with greats such as Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison before establishing himself on TV and satellite radio, releasing albums, and accumulating at least seven nicknames during his decades-long comedy career. Now he brings his blue-collar brand of southern humor to the 420-seat Stardome, tickling audiences with observations about everyday subjects such as raising kids, relationships, and the ever-changing economic landscape of the Pacific Rim.
