All artwork starts with a blank canvas—or, in the case of Cool Creations Pottery Studio & Café, a blank vase, plate, or ceramic figurine. During paint-your-own pottery drop-in sessions and parties, you can choose one of these items from the studio’s collection, dip your brush into paint, and set your creativity loose. Fine strokes outline long-stemmed flowers and bursts of color add personality to goblets. After the masterpiece is complete, a staff member will apply a clear glaze and fire it for pickup. For those who need a little extra guidance, classes demonstrate methods for painting floral and still-life designs using stencils and stamps.
