Copper Canyon Grill specializes in inventive and flavorful American cuisine cooked over a hardwood flame. Guests can commence consumption with the soup of the day ($6) or the Delmarva crab dip, which unites creamy cheese, crab-meat, herbs, and spices into a blend best scooped up with baguette slices ($12). Ponder the age-old question of what came first—the chicken or the B-52 strategic bomber—while enjoying the house specialty, the wood-fired rotisserie chicken served with redskin mashed potatoes and green beans ($14). Other entrees include St. Louis-style barbecue ribs ($23), the short-smoked Atlantic salmon ($15), meatloaf ($14), and the full-sized filet mignon steak ($28). Desserts such as the key lime pie ($6) and the bourbon-sauced pineapple-upside-down cake ($6) provide an edible epilogue to the novel of nourishment your appetite has penned.
A slate of libations are available for pairing with pabulum—whet your whistle with wine or prepare the slip 'n' slide that is your throat with a beer. Copper Canyon Grill's ambiance of rustic décor, with cacti and rich, robust wood fixtures looking on like talent scouts at a high school chess match, add a classically American touch to the proceedings.
Reviews
Yelpers give Copper Canyon Grill's Silver Spring and Gaithersburg locations an average of 3.5 stars:
- I love the fire pit in front of the building. It's like a beacon from the Rio lake! =) Great ambiance, the whole place has a fun, warm, inviting feel. On warm days/nights, the outdoor bar or just general outdoor seating is great. There are always lots of people walking around the lake in the early evening, so it's a great people watching spot. The food is quite good. Try the quesadillas, but make sure to get some of that southwestern sauce they bring with it. It's a touch spicy, but absolutely divine! – Nicole P., Yelp
- delicious food at reasonable prices. I especially like their rotisserie chicken dish. While it costs $18 for dinner, you can easily split it or have a second meal out of it. The cornbread is TO DIE for and their bread pudding is fantastic. Really, everything they do is delicious. You can't go wrong. – Debbie C., Yelp

About Copper Canyon Grill
The chefs at each Copper Canyon Grill, a mid-Atlantic favorite, craft their regional American dishes from scratch every day. Their kitchens fill with flames and savory aromas as they roast meats and vegetables over hardwood fires, making customers happy, but leaving behind bare earth at local basketball arenas.
The kitchen yields hearty servings of grilled prime rib and filet mignon, ahi tuna and Atlantic salmon, and Delmarva-style crab dip and Eastern Shore jumbo lump crab cakes. It also tempts with a signature rotisserie chicken and jalapeño- and serrano-pepper cornbread baked in an iron skillet.
