We improvise every day just interacting with one another and navigating our complex world. This workshop will teach the skills of successful improvisation -- fearlessly taking risks, withholding judgment, and engaging enthusiastically with every idea -- and apply them to your work environment. You will take away actionable tools for expressing yourself more confidently and creating more effectively as a team -- and have fun doing so in a safe, fast-paced, low-pressure environment. We apply tools from improv, theater, & stand-up to teach communication, innovation, and leadership skills, and build trust among teams.

Itinerary of Event:
Each BCC workshop is custom designed to meet your team’s unique personality and objectives.

1. Consultation: We use a collaborative and consultative approach to our professional development workshops. Each team is unique, and together, we will define your goals and build objectives.

2. Design: We’ll determine which workshop theme(s) might best serve your objectives, and select exercises from our curriculum that will provide the most impact to your team.

3. Delivery: Our instructors are veteran improvisers, with experience welcoming and facilitating teams of all shapes and sizes. Workshops are high energy, fully participatory, and fun, with real world takeaways and tools your team can rely on when they get back to work. Our facilitators are experienced at working with all personality types and are adept at making the room a safe, playful space in which students want to participant in the fun.

How long are workshops, typically?
- The majority of our workshops are between 2-3 hours long. However, we also facilitate abbreviated 90 minute “intro” workshops, and partner with teams to develop multi-day intensives.
How many people can participate in an a workshop?
- There is no minimum or maximum workshop size. We like to keep a max. ratio of 25 students per instructor, and can confirm multiple instructors for large groups. We’ve facilitated workshops with groups of all sizes, from one-on-one coaching to 400+ participants.
Where do workshops take place?
- We are based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, but our workshops can take place anywhere. We teach all over New York City, the country, and internationally. In New York, we are happy to facilitate a rental at one of our partner venues in Manhattan or Brooklyn, or host a workshop at your offices. All we need is open floor space to move around in, and chairs for participants.
