Since 1972, the Cox Farms Fall Festival has entertained the DC area with barrels of arable fun on 90 acres of farmland in Centreville, VA, just 20 miles west of the District. Admission to the family-owned farm gives you access to the festival’s many attractions. Shriek down five giant slides, Tarzan-yodel across different-sized rope swings, lose yourself in the CORNundrum corn maze, or pet a variety of farm animals before judging their figure-skating routines. Along the way, you can knock back a fresh mug of hot cider while perusing the pumpkin patch for this Halloween's ghoul-faced gourd before enjoying the colors of twilight aboard the hayride.
Sprinkled throughout the festival grounds is a variety of delicious foods, such as caramel apples, kettle corn, Angus burgers, and Cox's famous boardwalk fries, as well as equally delicious live entertainment. Whether they're small children or bigger children who conveniently have their own children, guests experiencing Cox Farms Fall Festival's cornucopia of nostalgic activities will have a chance to revel in all things autumn.
